A Biography in 1,000 Players Players 91-100

Here are the players I ranked 91st thru 100th:

91 Ozzie Smith 878 SS 9
92 Harmon Killebrew 877.5 1B 10
93 Jim Palmer 877 P 21
94 Pee Wee Reese 876 SS 10
95 Paul Molitor 875.3 3B 8
96 Dick Allen 875 1B 11
97 Sam Crawford 873 RF 10
98 Billy Williams 872 LF 8
99 Dave Winfield 871 RF 11
100 Frankie Frisch 867 2B 11

I have the greatest fielder (Ozzie Smith) just ahead a player who had a reputation of not being a good fielder (Harmon Killebrew). Jim Palmer is the first starting pitcher on the list in a long time. I bet a lot of people will be surprised to see Dick Allen in my top 100. He hasn’t been elected to the hall of fame due to some controversy during his career. One person wrote on the Bill James Online baseball blog I subscribe to that Frankie Frisch doesn’t belong in the hall of fame. Here I have him in my top 100 players.
